How To Make A Balloon Arch
A balloon arch is a great way to add some extra decoration to your next party. Here's how to make one:
- You will need about 12-15 balloons for each foot of the arch. Inflate the balloons and tie them off.
- Cut two lengths of string or fishing line, each about 2 feet longer than the desired width of the arch.
- Tie one end of each string to a balloon.
- Attach the strings to something sturdy at either end, like a piece of furniture or a doorknob.
- Start arranging the balloons in a curved shape until you have your desired arch shape.
- Once you' re happy with the shape, tie off the remaining balloons to secure them in place.
- If you' re using helium-filled balloons, the arch will float on its own. If not, you can use clear tape or zip ties to attach it to a wall or door frame for added stability
How To Make A Balloon Column
If you' re looking for an easy way to add some extra pizazz to your next party, try making a balloon column! Balloon columns are simple to make and can be customized to match any party theme. Plus, they make a great photo backdrop!
Here's what you'll need:
-Balloons in your desired colors (we used 11" latex balloons)
-A sturdy base (we used a styrofoam block)
-Tape or glue (optional)
To get started, inflate your balloons and tie them off. If you' re using multiple colors, we recommend inflating them all ahead of time so you don't have to stop in the middle of the assembly.
Once all of your balloons are inflated, start attaching them to your base. We just used regular tape, but if you' re worried about the balloons popping, you can use hot glue or a similar adhesive.
Continue adding balloons until your column is as tall as you want it. To give our column some extra stability, we added a few more balloons at the very top and taped them together. And that's it! Your balloon column is now ready to take center stage at your party.
