Serena Williams Posts About Donating Her Breast Milk On Instagram: We Love It!
Serena Williams is currently helping families who are in need.
On Wednesday, the 42-year-old superstar revealed that she donated additional breast milk. She had the milk as a leftover from her latest trip to NYC.
Williams posted about this incident on Instagram with a video. The caption read: “After going through a screening, I was able to donate it instead of taking the milk home. I know so many amazing women who adopt or are unable to make milk. It felt amazing. BTW, Someone out there is getting some super soldier milk. 🤭.”
In the video, the former tennis player’s voice can be heard off-camera as she opens her freezer, showing several packets of milk.
Williams mentioned that she was very excited to donate the milk to the ones who actually needed it.
Before she closed the door of the freezer, she said, “It’ll be anonymous, but super excited to just help in some way. “ One Instagram user joked, “Some kids’ backhand just got stronger.”
Then there were other users who praised the contribution, “My baby was adopted and ended up having severe dairy allergies, so we relied on donor milk. It was such a gift to us, and I’m always so grateful when I think about it!❤️.”
In August, Williams and Alexis Ohanian, her husband, welcomed their 2nd child, a beautiful baby daughter, Adira River Ohanian. The couple welcomed their 1st child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., on 1st September 2017, in West Palm Beach, Florida.
